Privacy Policy – Select & Search

Select & Search is a browser extension that lets you capture part of your screen or an image you choose and search it on image‑search engines such as Google Images, Bing, Yandex, and other supported providers.

Data we process

• When you use the extension, it temporarily processes screenshots or images that you explicitly select or upload in order to perform the search you requested.
• If you enable the "Save search history" option, the extension stores a small number of recent search images and timestamps in your browser's extension storage so you can quickly repeat searches. You can clear this history at any time from the extension's settings.
• The extension also stores your settings (for example: chosen search engine, whether instant search and context menus are enabled, and the size of the history list) in your browser's sync storage.

Where data is stored and sent

• All settings and history data are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. They are not sent to the extension developer's servers.
• When you perform a search, the selected image is sent directly from your browser to the image‑search provider you chose (for example Google Images or Bing). Those providers process the image according to their own privacy policies.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect or store your name, email address, account credentials, payment information, or browsing history on our own servers.
• We do not use the data processed by the extension for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to performing your visual search.
• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties.
